This community college first began on January 15, 1965 with support from the Washtenaw County. Classes began in 1969. The campus is located on 235 acres. There are more than 16,000 students who attend the school annually. In total the campus consists of four buildings.
Concordia University is a private, Christian liberal arts university that offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. Concordia's nationally accredited educational program has received a rating of "exemplary" from the Michigan Department of Education. Other programs of study include business, religious studies, pre-law, pre-med, pre-engineering, mathematics, philosophy, psychology, English, criminal justice, art, music and family life/social sciences.
